Corsets, headpieces, and 20 foot trains, oh my! The eccentric fashion designs from Dubai-based Designer to the Stars, Furne One, with the combined theme celebrating the final days of Arizona Spring Training will captivate the heart of Scottsdale's nightlife in our annual Fashion-A-Ball event on March 30. This year's fashion component of Fashion-A-Ball takes desert style and luxury to new heights, as we have the blessed opportunity to unveil, for the first time ever in Scottsdale, Furne One's Spring 2012 Collection. Furne One truly immersed himself into a state of ethereality when conceptualizing and designing this wearable mixture of nature, science fiction, romance, and mysticism. We are overzealous in being able to show off these theatrical pieces in a show above water at W Scottsdale. Furne One has created a global wave in the fashion world, especially with Hollywood's glam girls, like Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Shakira, and Jennifer Lopez, seen recently wearing his masterpieces down the red carpet. At Fashion-A-Ball 2012, it's now our turn to see these unimaginable creations come to life. One top of it all, we are proud to have local celebrity, philanthropist and friend, Maggie McCracken, hosting Fashion-A- Ball 2012. Star of VH1's Baseball Wives and wife of former Diamondbacks player, Quinton McCracken, Maggie will be representing her own story of strength through a silent auction benefiting her charity "Miracles Do Happen". This celebratory fusion of Arizona Spring Training and frill fashion create a scene for fashionistas and sports enthusiasts alike, which is something we really sought after in planning this year's event. So, whether it's the exclusivity factor of being able to mingle with your favorite baseball stars, or the chance to get up close and personal with two of Katy Perry's most outrageous dresses, then the WET pool deck at W Scottsdale is what's happenin on the last of Friday evenings in March.
